A few exciting advances for Caroline this week...
(1) She finally went down for the night before 2 am! For the past couple of weeks, she's been staying up late and driving us a little crazy. We put her down at 8 or 9, but she wakes up after 45 mintues or so. And we keep trying over and over and she keeps waking up! But last night she went down at 10am and stayed asleep the whole night, just waking a couple of times for feedings and going right back to bed. She's still only sleeping for 4 or 5 hours at a stretch, but it is pretty manageable now. Most nights.
(2) She finally likes her swing! We've been trying to put her in it for weeks, but she always screams after about 5 minutes. Well, this week she's just loved sitting in it and swinging away. She loves watching the mobile move around above her head. It was a lifesaver for me today- I finally got a few things done around the house!
(3) She made it through a few book readings without getting distracted and crying. We have one that we got from our friends Loretta and Bill with little baby animals, and she really likes the bright and contrasting colors in that one.
(4) She keeps smiling a lot

Caroline, tell your parents that you just want a little benadryl to help you sleep....:) Totally kidding, but those late nights sure can take their toll. Good thing she is so incredibly adorable. Big hugs to you all from Ghana.
