First snow and the christmas tree

We had our first snow of the season this Saturday. It was about 4 inches and it was pretty fun. Caroline was excited to go outside and make snowballs. Sadly, the snow was too light to pack together well, so that was a flop. We also did a little sledding down the hill in our front yard, which is not quite steep enough to get going fast, but it is a good start... We made a tiny snowman, and Caroline and Mike made snow angels. I got Mirabelle and Julianne in their snowsuits and out in the snow briefly. But it was hard because you can't really just put them down, but if one of us wanted to play with Caroline it was hard to do with one of the babies. So I stuck them in the snow for the obligatory first snow shot, but then just brought them back in.

Saturday night our friends Anna, Langdon and Eliza came over for dinner and a sleep over. We had a fun game of Catan and some Euchre too.

On Sunday we braved the snow and went out to chop down our christmas tree. They even had a little reindeer at this place for Caroline to see. (Bizarre, really). Unfortunately, it was pretty cold and Caroline was pretty whiny, so we just found the first vaguely acceptable tree and took it home. And it took us a few days to get it up and decorated, but now we're all in the Christmas spirit!

Snow girl

Snow man (I know, he's wimpy, but the snow was REALLY hard to pack together. Hence the tiny pin head) I also love Caroline's "just take the darn picture" face here...

Someone is going to be a snowboarder... And no, we didn't actually let her try to go down like this!
About to go down with Daddy
Our little cherubs. Could they be any cuter?

Mmmm.... hot chocolate!
