Today, we went out for a walk around Ponkapoag pond in the Blue Hills Reservation. It was so fun! We discovered a boardwalk through a bog with such amazing scenery, it was like we were miles and miles from civilization, not just a few miles from our house and the rest of suburban Boston. There were some threatening thunder clouds that made us come home a little earlier than we wanted, but we managed to avoid getting rained on.

Mike said this reminded him a lot of Alaska.

Wild pitcher plants

The path through the bog. We got some wet sneakers when some of the logs submerged in the water, but it was worth it to get to the end...

... where we found this view

And baby stayed dry, which is all that matters :)
