Mike and I celebrate our anniversary each year by going on a special adventure according to the alphabet. We started year 1 in Acadia. Year 2 was Boston (I was pregnant and sick... not much excitement that year). Year 3 was Canada (Montreal and Quebec City). Year 4 was Door County. Year 5... letter E. Where could we go for letter E without leaving our twins for long?
The Edgewater Hotel. A lovely spot in Madison, right on the water on lake Mendota. We ended up celebrating a couple of months late, because on our actual anniversary (Aug 27) my girlfriends were visiting us. And then, well, life just got in the way. So finally this week, we decided to take advantage of a gorgeous day, and we took Mike's parents boat over there. We went upstairs to their bar, where there was just such an amazing view of the lake. We had champaigne and appetizers, and just savored one another's company. It was very lovely and romantic... And then we returned to our real life! HA!
