So, we were all set for a great, mellow Memorial Day weekend hanging out with Mike's family. Caroline's cousins Henry and Owen came down a couple of days early, and Caroline got to spend a bunch of time with them and Nana and Papa. They went to the zoo, played in the lake, went to the splash park, and more. And that was all before the weekend really started. Then one morning, Owen woke up throwing up. And he just didn't stop. The poor kid was puking every 10 minutes for hours. He got so lathargic and pale and everyone was really worried. So we took Henry for the day, and Mike's parents took Owen to the urgent care clinic. They couldn't get an IV in and were worried, so they sent him to Children's hospital. Once there, they got him all set up and took lots of tests. They got him stabalized during the day, but decided to keep him overnight. Luckily, Joe and Lisa rushed down to take care of him, so Mike's parents at least got to sleep at home after a long and crazy day. By the morning, Owen was doing great and they all came back to Mike's parent's house. We got to catch up with them for a little bit, but then they decided to head home to recouperate. So it was all a lot of drama, but at least Owen is fine. They never did figure out exactly what caused it, and the other kids didn't get sick. And at least Caroline got some fun time with the cousins before all of that chaos started...
The kids love hanging out in this little kitchen cabinet. They shut the door, play peekaboo, and goof off wiht flashlights. Oh, and when they're not in there, the trash can is... luckily they keep it pretty clean, so you'd never know :)

Mike took the kids to the park with the splash-park. Caroline is still a little nervous about it, but Owen can't get enough.
After the sickness has passed- a little family QT on the hammock. Lisa, Henry, Jane, Caroline and Owen. You'd never know he was sick, he was up and running so fast.
