Let me count the ways...
I wake up to the sounds of birds chirping and nothing else. No more trains going by in the middle of the night, no rowdy neighbors, just calm and quiet and tranquility.
The yard is, in a word, amazing. A big huge rolling lawn, beautiful perennial plants and flowers. There are squirrels, chipmunks, bunnies, and birds galore! And a fabulous view of the lake- I thought it would be mostly blocked by trees once the leaves filled in, but turns out we can see a lot.
There is SO much space. It is so nice to have 2 stories again. When Caroline wakes up early, one of us can go play with her downstairs and the other one can actually sleep in, rather than just lay in bed listening to the chaos in the living room.
The screened in porch and the porchees on the front of the house are both such great places to hang out and enjoy the yard and the view. Awesome!
We are just a few minutes from Mike's parents house. Before, we were so happy to even be 20 minutes away. But what a world of difference being about 2. We're back and forth between our houses pretty much every day. It is so nice for us and for Caroline, who just adores her nana and papa!
I just can't wait to get all settled in and live the next many, many, many years here. Its one of the last things we needed to feel settled in life, and it is such a great feeling!
