Babies' first protest

So unless you've been living under a rock, you've heard about the crazy dictator playing the part of governor of Wisconsin. He's a real nut-case, and I really do hope he gets recalled someday. We had been watching all of the protests from a distance (i.e. from our couch, on the Daily Show), though Mike has been vigorously e-mailing senators and such. Anyways, the crowds at the capitol have been getting bigger and bigger, so we figured it was time to join in the fray. We schlepped all of the kiddos down there, and went in the capitol and then around the square. We met up with Anna and Eliza and roamed around with them for a while, and just happened to run into my friend John and his daughter Sophia. And then we met up with our friend and former neighbor Jen who was handing out "protest balloons" and trying to spread some love in the midst of the chaos. The babies were awake but mellow, despite a lot of time outside in fairly cold weather. Caroline had fun with it all- chanting "Hey Hey, Ho Ho, Scott Walker's got to go!"
