It was cloudy and rainy weather for their time here, but we managed to have a good time despite it. We went to visit the Adams hisorical site here in Quincy. We'd been meaning to go for the past few years, but never got around to it until now. We learned a lot and had fun. Caroline was pretty worn out by the end of the trip and was falling asleep in her dad's arms. So cute.
The next day, we went to Mt. Auburn Cemetary in Cambridge. Mike had been excited to see it ever since watching a PBS show about it- the first park-style cemetary in the country. It is quite lovely- with some interesting grave markers and other sites, and a tower on a hill with a fabulous view of Boston. After our walk there we went over to a diner, where Caroline sat in a little seat attached to the edge of the table. She was so cute and loved being part of the action. She got to eat cheerios and applesauce while we all gorged ourselves on way too much- eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, and more.
Caroline really enjoyed having her grandparents around. They played with her all the time and were impressed with all of her new skills in crawling, bouncing, babbling, eating, and grabbing at everything in sight. We were sad to see Jane and Joe go today, but we'll be happy to see them again for Christmas in just a couple of months.

On the trolley- Caroline seems less than excited...
We wanted to take pictures of her in the leaves, but they were all wet from the rain... maybe next weekend. I'm sure there will be more leaves by then!
