Visiting Great Grandma Caroline

We went up to visit Great Grandma Caroline in Phillips over labor day weekend. We originally thought we might do our first camping trip with the twins, but with rain in the forecast, we thought twice :) Good thing we didn't because it was pretty cloudy, rainy and cold most of the weekend. We decided to rent a cabin, which we were excited to find available at the last minute. It was a nice place right on Long Lake.

It was a really fun trip. We had several fun meals with GG Caroline. The girls were raising a bit of a ruckus, as usual, but we made it through. We also took GG to Niebauer Springs, which their family used to own long ago, but is now in the department of natural resources. It is a really neat place. We would have loved to stay longer, but it was so cold out and we just didn't bring enough warm clothes.

Trying to wrangle the kiddos for a picture with GG. Easier said than done.
