Wisconsin wintertime!

It's Christmas eve and I think Caroline is waiting for Santa. It's an hour past her bedtime and she's showing no interest in sleeping. We are in Wisconsin, at Mike's parents' wonderful, warm home on the lake. It has been a great couple of days here, mostly just chilling out at home and catching up. We arrived on Monday, with relatively little travel drama. I think we were quite lucky to sneak out of Boston and into Madison between storms. We had a very short connection in Newark, which we almost missed. Our luggage didn't quite make it (the carseat and stroller did, which was bizzare, since the suitcases didn't), but we got it the next day.

There is TONS of snow here- just like we left in Boston. The view of the lake is white, white everywhere. Mike and his dad went for a hike in the snow, and I took a very brief walk with Jane, pulling Caroline along in a sled. Brrr. Otherwise, we've just been bundled up in the house!

All dressed up for Christmas eve mass

On my sled with 25 layers, wondering why they keep doing this sort of thing to me...

A little hooded beauty!

Ho ho ho! Where's Santa?

Caroline is learning to stand on her own. Check out the evidence:
