The twins are one today! They are precious and adorable and we just can't believe a whole year has gone by. Really, we can't believe we survived the first year!
The girls are doing great. Mirabelle took her first few steps a day or two ago. I saw it, and Kate and Sadie said, "Oh yeah, she's been doing that all day!" Oh well, nothing like missing first steps :) But maybe we'll catch Julianne's. Neither of them seems in a huge rush about it. I really thought they'd do it a month ago, but oh well. They sure get around fast by crawling, and they love to climb. Up onto the couch, up the stairs, you name it. It is all sorts of trouble.
Julianne seems to be teething again- her upper molars are breaking through. Plus she seems like she has a little cold, so she's a bit cranky. Mirabelle's been cranky too, but we can't see any new teeth just yet.
We celebrated their birthdays at Nana and Papa's with a nice dinner outside, plus some delicious cake and ice cream. The girls seemed to enjoy it. Caroline loved singing Happy Birthday about 20 times today. Kate gave the girls a book each, which was so sweet.
At their one year appointment, Mirabelle weighed 18lbs 5oz and measured 29 inches. Julianne weighed 20lbs 13oz and measured 30 inches.
